We developed a structure that enabled us to animate the screen mock ups with their iPhone and iMac hardware. This shows how the real applications would work, giving the audience a true insight into the kinds of interactions they can except.
The narrative for our promotional video is simple. Firstly, a basic introduction showcases the suite of applications and give a general sentence summing up their main focus, based on our initial concepts earlier in the project.
We had to drill the concepts to the business owner audience. Employees get simplified shifts, wage preview and communication. Management get mobile payroll, a rota builder tool and personalised desktop application.
The Management App boasts automated shift builder with staff details, resulting in live rota for less confusion. Also, for the expert in payroll, a flexible and mobile way to manage payments on the go.
The Management Dashbaord develops animation that the prototype does not. It shows the process, thanks to an animated cursor, of a user navigating through the desktop system. It shows how to access personalised features, our exciting new payroll format, and adding a new staff member, all in a matter of seconds.
Employee app shows the power of simple location technology to clock in based on Touch ID. It shows the process of swapping a shift with a simple swipe on a new desired shift. We emphasised communication. All the information regarding announcements on the bulletin board, chats, swap requests and payslips are all live and confidential, based on employee or supervisor level.
Also, we were able to add a little tagline to advertise our service. It's short and simple. Your business, connected. Firstly, it was important to directly address the business owner audience. It's their business, and makes our service personal. Second of all, this idea of connectivity will really engage with the desires of the user. It isn't a hassle finding compatible applications and formats. All information is processed within the suite, and displayed accordingly, like employee availability for example.
